Have you been positively affected by art therapy? Have you participated in an art therapy workshop? Have you benefited from the creative process of art in any way? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are hoping to promote art therapy and share people’s art therapy experiences on the web as it has been on a decline over the last 4 years. How can you help spread the word about art therapy? Well, there’s lots of ways! You can tell people about your experiences and how beneficial they were for you. You can share your experience with people who visit our site to learn about art therapy (click here for more information). And you can tell people about this site, whether it’s by word of mouth, through your website or blog, through your social network, or whatever particular medium you prefer to communicate with your friends, family, general public, etc.
We encourage creativity…you can write a poem, tell a story, share images of your art therapy artwork, or anything else you can think of. Learn how you can help promote art therapy and share your art therapy experience.
Thanks, and let’s encourage the discussion of art therapy on the web!

Hey guys, I’m not sure if this is appropriate but I just wanted to share some of my experiences and ask for a suggestion. My father used art therapy when he was diagnosed with cancer (he always took photopgrahs but moreso when he was diagnosed). I saw how much it helped him and how happy it made him to actually be able to express himself. Well, I wanted to help other people do the same. I’m trying to run a art show where every artist as cancer. I am donating all the money raised to a cancer research charity but I want it to be more about the participants. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to reach out to those that might have cancer and want to showcase their work? Thank you so much for any help you can offer.

@Kyle,
Jessica emailed me about this as well and I’m planning on posting an article on the site about the event. Feel free to have her include you in the email conversation if you’d like to add anything!
As far as finding participants, you might approach hospitals that have art therapy programs, online forums, community programs in your area, etc.
